Repurpose your Content
You may have heard this term before, but what does repurposing your content actually mean?
Well, let’s break it down …
It’s all about making the most out of your content and making it go further. Whether that be changing the form, structure or platform, it’s all about increasing the exposure of the content for your audience.
An example of repurposing your content means you take one Facebook LIVE video and turn it into a blog post, a YouTube video, create 5-10 pins on Pinterest, create Instagram posts and generate more Facebook posts about it.
It’s basically making multiple pieces of content from one form.
Your website should be your central point where you get your audience to go too. Not your social media platforms.
You can fully control your website, you don’t have that control over Facebook, Instagram or any other social media platform. If a social media platform goes down … so does your content and possibly your business too.
Using social media is great for building relationships and interaction with your audience, but ultimately you want to drive traffic back to your website.
Having a central website is important because your audience will know where to find you. Social media is huge, but still not everyone has a Facebook or Instagram account. If you don’t have a website, you wont be able to reach everyone in your audience.
